Nantucket Island Surf School has been teaching surfing for fifteen years, offering private and group lessons as well as one week mini camps. Camps and lessons include all equipment and are designed to teach total novices all the way to the more advanced.

NISS focuses on safety in and out of the water and ensures all surfing instruction takes place with a high level of quality.

Instructors

All Nantucket Island Surf school instructors have a minimum of five years surfing experience and are certified in CPR and first aid. The instructor to student ratio is no more than one to four (usually one to three) for beginner surfers.

Owner Gary "Kona" Kohner has been surfing for years and has experience around the world in multiple oceans.
